Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve Shane took the kids out to ride on the sled behind the four wheeler. The kids had a blast. Although, Kaylee enjoyed riding on the four wheeler more than on the sled behind it.

Tolbert Family Christmas Party

We had the Tolbert family Christmas party on Tuesday before Christmas. Shane's Grandma always spoils us all rotten. Santa comes, and we all have a lot of fun. This year she made everyone aprons that all turned out really cute.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

It has finally snowed enough for Kaylee to go out and play in it. Of course I didn't have snow boots that fit her, so we had to make a quick trip to the store before she could go play. Kaylee was not happy about this. Once I got her ready she could not wait to go outside. She had so much fun. She told Shane that night that she wants to go snowboarding with him now. So we will have to see how she does snowboarding now.

Shake It Baby

For the last week or so Aubrey has started shaking her head when she gets excited. At first I wasn't sure where she was learning it from. Then I realised that Kaylee shakes her head at her when she talks to her. Aubrey has picked up on it and now does it to us all the time. It is so cute. She didn't do it very long in the video, but she can really get going when she gets excited. So I just had to share it with everyone.

Recently I had to run a few errands into town. I had to go to a couple stores, car wash, and get gas. When we got home Kaylee said she was exhausted. Yes, she said exhausted. She went upstairs while I was putting a few things away. When I went to look for her I found her asleep on my bed. I just had to laugh. I could see how riding in a cart would be so exhausting. I thought the blue lips were also a good touch. You just got to love the free suckers they think your kid needs.

I asked Kaylee to play with Aubrey while I got ready this morning. I was a little worried about what Kaylee would do to her. Kaylee can get a little rough. I was surprised to see Kaylee put her tiara on her. She kept telling me Aubrey was a princess. They played so good together. Aubrey didn't stop giggling. I can already tell Aubrey can't wait to be able to keep up with her older sister.

Christmas Fun

Christmas has come so fast this year. Kaylee has loved decorating for Christmas. She is so excited for Santa to come. This picture of our Christmas tree is more for my brother, he knows why.

The Girls in their Christmas dresses.

I decided to do a little Christmas project with Kaylee. We made a Christmas countdown. Kaylee had more fun with the glue and scissors than she did putting together. She has loved having it in her room. She can't wait to take a ring off every morning.

Twilight!

So I went to the midnight showing of Twilight last night. It actually ended up being a lot of fun. There was a raffle before the movie raffling off Twilight stuff. I was surprised how many men were actually there. I won't say anything about the movie so as not to ruin it for anyone, but it was good. Definently worth seeing.

Kaylee wanted to start using scissors. Not wanting to be one of those overprotective Mothers, I bought her a pair of kids scissors. Before letting her use the scissors I told her that scissors can only be used to cut paper. They can't be used to cut anything else, and she can only cut the paper I give her. So last night the Kaylee asked to use her scissors. I gave her the scissors and told her to sit up at the kitchen counter. Shane was cleaning up dinner and I was sitting on the couch playing with Aubrey. A few minutes go by and I feel Kaylee come up behind the couch and touch my hair. I thought she was just playing with my hair, but then I heard the sound of the scissors cutting. Yes, she cut my hair. I of course freaked out and ran to the bathroom to look at my hair. Shane had a nice talk with Kaylee and put her on time out. When she got out of time out to come talk to me, she was crying and could hardly talk. She felt really bad. Let's just hope she learned her lesson. As for my hair, thankfully she didn't do any noticeable damage.

Tolbert Halloween Party

We had the Tolbert family Halloween party this last Sunday. The kids all had a lot of fun. Grandma Tolbert spoiled them and kept them very entertained. They had many different games and activities to participate in. Kaylee loved eating the jello off the plate without her hands. I am sad however, that I didn't get a picture of her feeding Shane a donut hanging from a string.

Halloween

This was the first Halloween I think Kaylee actually understood what was going on. She told me what she wanted to dress up as, and then after we got the costume would ask me everyday if it was time to put it in. She had so much fun trick or treating. She said she wanted to fill her pumpkin to the top with candy. She didn't, but she still had fun. She also loved the glow stick she got from Grandma.

"I'll put her to bed"- Shane

So last night was like every other night trying to get Kaylee to bed. I laid her down and of course she was up two seconds later with an excuse of why she can't go to sleep. So, Shane says "I'll put her to bed." They disappear upstairs together and fifteen minutes later Kaylee comes back downstairs. I asked her why she is not asleep. She replies "I put Daddy to sleep." This is what I found when I went upstairs.

Pumpkin Carving

We finally got around to carving our pumkins for Halloween. Since we got back from California Kaylee and I have had a cold, and Aubrey has had the flu. I am crossing my fingers that no one else gets the flu. I didn't feel like carving pumpkins, but seeing Kaylee have so much fun made it all worth it. In case you can't tell Kaylee chose to carve an owl in her pumpkin.

Beach Time

I went on a quick trip to California. My Grandma was sick and ended up passing away. We took the kids for some much needed fun to the beach. Kaylee always love the beach. She loved looking at the seals and finding shells.

Happy Birthday Kaylee

So today is Kaylee's third birthday. Tonight she opened the presents from us and Grandparents. One of the presents we gave Kaylee was some motorcycle pajamas. Now she is asking where her pink fox motorcycle is.

Kaylee's Birthday Party

We had Kaylee's Birthday Party today. It was at the Lehi Pool. She had a lot of fun, and said she wanted to do all her parties there.

Aubrey Walking

Shane brought Aubrey in my room walking between his legs, and I was laughing so hard. She was literally marching like a soldier. I told him I had to get video of it. This is what I got. It's not as good as the original, but still cute.

Growing up Fast!

Kaylee is turning three next week. She is so sassy lately, but I love it. She keeps me laughing. This is the conversation we had lately about her Birthday.
Kaylee:"We have to go get my Birthday present mom."
Me: "I already got you your Birthday present Kaylee."
Kaylee: "Well, what is it."
Me: "I am not telling it is a surprise."
Kaylee: "I will find it, or Daddy will tell me. Daddy does whatever I want."
Following this conversation we went downstairs to have breakfast, where Kaylee proceeded to call me Kelly. When I told her to call me Mom. To that she responded "why, your name is Kelly." I had to hide my laugh. Then explain that she really needed to call me mom.

Aubrey is starting to sit up on her own now. This is her first bath sitting up. I am not sure she knew what to think at first, but was having fun eating the letters and splashing by the end.

Bed Time

Kaylee is the queen of exscuses on why she can't go to bed at night. We put her to bed and she gets up five minutes later. Tonight we put her to bed and didn't hear anything from her for a while. I assumed she was in bed asleep, boy was I wrong. She came down stairs and asked to me to come to her party. That got my attention. This is what I found when I went upstairs.

Playtime

Kaylee has started playing with a little girl across the street whose name also happens to be Kaylee. It is so funny to watch little girls play in comparison to boys. I am used to Kaylee playing with Becky's boys all the time. It is guite different when it is two girls playing. They play so quite. Today they dressed up and then played with the kitchen. They took turns cooking things for eachother. It was so cute.

Rice Cereal

First Bite

Second Bite

Third Bite

I gave Aubrey rice cereal for the first time. She was really hungry when I gave it to her, but I was trying to wait for Shane to get home. So, by the time I gave in she just wasn't having it. I tried again later and she loved it.

I just had to throw this picture in. Lately Aubrey has started really grabbing and reaching for things. Kaylee's hair being one of them. Kaylee either freaks out or laughs and yells "Mommy help."
