Twilight!

So I went to the midnight showing of Twilight last night. It actually ended up being a lot of fun. There was a raffle before the movie raffling off Twilight stuff. I was surprised how many men were actually there. I won't say anything about the movie so as not to ruin it for anyone, but it was good. Definently worth seeing.

Kaylee wanted to start using scissors. Not wanting to be one of those overprotective Mothers, I bought her a pair of kids scissors. Before letting her use the scissors I told her that scissors can only be used to cut paper. They can't be used to cut anything else, and she can only cut the paper I give her. So last night the Kaylee asked to use her scissors. I gave her the scissors and told her to sit up at the kitchen counter. Shane was cleaning up dinner and I was sitting on the couch playing with Aubrey. A few minutes go by and I feel Kaylee come up behind the couch and touch my hair. I thought she was just playing with my hair, but then I heard the sound of the scissors cutting. Yes, she cut my hair. I of course freaked out and ran to the bathroom to look at my hair. Shane had a nice talk with Kaylee and put her on time out. When she got out of time out to come talk to me, she was crying and could hardly talk. She felt really bad. Let's just hope she learned her lesson. As for my hair, thankfully she didn't do any noticeable damage.

Tolbert Halloween Party

We had the Tolbert family Halloween party this last Sunday. The kids all had a lot of fun. Grandma Tolbert spoiled them and kept them very entertained. They had many different games and activities to participate in. Kaylee loved eating the jello off the plate without her hands. I am sad however, that I didn't get a picture of her feeding Shane a donut hanging from a string.

Halloween

This was the first Halloween I think Kaylee actually understood what was going on. She told me what she wanted to dress up as, and then after we got the costume would ask me everyday if it was time to put it in. She had so much fun trick or treating. She said she wanted to fill her pumpkin to the top with candy. She didn't, but she still had fun. She also loved the glow stick she got from Grandma.

"I'll put her to bed"- Shane

So last night was like every other night trying to get Kaylee to bed. I laid her down and of course she was up two seconds later with an excuse of why she can't go to sleep. So, Shane says "I'll put her to bed." They disappear upstairs together and fifteen minutes later Kaylee comes back downstairs. I asked her why she is not asleep. She replies "I put Daddy to sleep." This is what I found when I went upstairs.

Pumpkin Carving

We finally got around to carving our pumkins for Halloween. Since we got back from California Kaylee and I have had a cold, and Aubrey has had the flu. I am crossing my fingers that no one else gets the flu. I didn't feel like carving pumpkins, but seeing Kaylee have so much fun made it all worth it. In case you can't tell Kaylee chose to carve an owl in her pumpkin.

Beach Time

I went on a quick trip to California. My Grandma was sick and ended up passing away. We took the kids for some much needed fun to the beach. Kaylee always love the beach. She loved looking at the seals and finding shells.
